Meet Lancer!
Lancer is a tall, handsome 14-year-old gelding with a kind disposition and a heart of gold. Easy to handle and a pleasure to be around, he is great for grooming, cross ties, trailering, and farrier visits.
Lancer has previous experience both under saddle and in harness, but he is currently in need of a refresher and would be best suited to a seasoned horseman who can help bring him back into work. Healthy and ready for his next chapter, he offers a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to develop a partnership with a mature, well-mannered horse.
With his sweet personality, good ground manners, and willingness to please, Lancer is ready to find his person and enjoy the next phase of his life.
Lancer is currently available through Colonial Williamsburg’s Equine Placement Program. As part of our commitment to the long-term wellbeing of our horses, we thoughtfully seek new homes for horses whose next chapter may be better suited outside of our working carriage and historic interpretation programs. We are committed to finding all of our horses a safe, supportive, and permanent home.
