Rooster is a handsome 2-year-old gelding with a big personality and endless potential. Born and bred on-site, he has developed into a striking young horse with exceptional athleticism and natural movement that could take him in any direction.
Rooster is still learning the basics and will thrive with an experienced, confident handler who can provide consistency and clear expectations. He is continuing to build confidence with groundwork, fly spray, and farrier work, and he can find stall life and busy environments a little overwhelming.
With his athletic ability, trainable mind, and quality movement, Rooster has all the ingredients to excel in a variety of disciplines. He is looking for a knowledgeable partner who can help him reach his full potential and become the best version of himself.
Rooster is currently available through Colonial Williamsburg’s Equine Placement Program. As part of our commitment to the long-term wellbeing of our horses, we thoughtfully seek new homes for horses whose next chapter may be better suited outside of our working carriage and historic interpretation programs. We are committed to finding all of our horses a safe, supportive, and permanent home.
