Tony the Pony (18 yr old Shetland Mini Cross)

Tony the Pony is officially available for adoption! He is a 9.2h(ish), 18 year old gelding. He is up to date on his vaccines, and recently had his teeth done. Tony is happy play with the kids, behaving like a perfect gentleman. He cooperates for the vet, stands for the farrier and loads beautifully into the trailer, even if he is by himself. Tony has not been, and will not be evaluated for his riding ability, because he is currently over weight, and adding more weight of a rider is not fair to him, and will be painful on his feet. He is currently sound, and working on a diet to get his weight under control. His weight is of the up most importance, as he is at risk of founder in his current state. He is an easy keeper, and very easy going! Located in Deerfield, WI. Adoption fee is Five Hundred. UPDATED INFO: We did xrays and blood work. Tony is sound and doing great. He did not show any response to hoof testers. We did do xrays and while he does have some MILD rotation, he is still very comfortable! He will do fine in work when he has dropped some more weight. He also does have cushings, and is currently on a loading dose of Prescend (1/4 tablet every other day), and will need to be on a 1/4 tablet going forward. The vet said to keep doing what we are doing and he will make a great pony!
