“Scarlett” and “Twinkie” are a package deal, they are closely bonded and don’t let the other out of their sight. Neither is suitable for riding but would make lovely companion horses. More details about each horse is below.

“Scarlett” is a 23 year old chestnut Saddlebred mare. She is a poor old girl that has put in more than enough hours of work in her life. She stands about 15.3 hands and shows signs of old horse arthritis from being on the blacktop. She has her right eye that needs to be removed. We are currently offering her for adoption if the home agrees to remove it; otherwise we will be having it done before she goes to a home.
She has an anatomical issue that we have deemed her as unfit to ride. Her withers seem to have been pinched while they were still closing the growth plates and there is an obvious indentation on the withers. “Scarlett” is as sweet as they come! She likes people, can be handled in all manners and is super easy to handle in the pasture!

“Twinkie” is a 19 year old flea-bit grey Arabian cross mare. She came to us through the kill-buyer’s truck and was community bailed. She was brought into our rescue as no one wanted her when she was available to the public. “Twinkie” stands 15.2 hands and is a confident partner. “Twinkie” is a cute mare that we have no clue as to her history. A lot of times, the horses can give us some idea, but “Twinkie” is a puzzle. She has a left hip injury that we do not know what was the cause was. Due to this, “Twinkie” cannot be rode at all. She is sound but has an abnormal gait and would be a beautiful pasture ornament. She has minimal maintenance; only needing a joint supplement to help with her abnormality. “Twinkie” is a more dominant mare in a small herd, but will give into the more dominant horses. “Twinkie” is bonded with “Scarlett” and they must go together to their new home. She is very curious and fun to spend hours grooming and braiding her long mane and tail.

Their adoption fee is $1000 ($500 each) at this time – They come with vaccines, microchip, feet trimmed and teeth floated.
