17 year old, 16.1 hands, registered OTTB
Rooster is broke, beginner safe, trail rides great, stands for farrier and the vet, stands to be bathed, easy to catch, in your pocket type. He’s more whoa than go and loves children. I’ve owned him for the past 5 years, used him as a beginner riding lesson horse and my kids have ridden him.
When I got him he needed lots of weight put on him which I did but the only maintenance he needs is consistent exercise to keep his top line up. Right now he’s lacking some top line due to him falling on the back burner since my daughter and I are pursuing barrel racing now which is the reason I’m selling him, no fault of his own, just don’t have the time to keep him up.
He’s sound, teeth floated and vaccines done on 4/16/2026, neg coggins, and had his feet done on 6/4/2026.
Rooster is a very good boy with lots of love to give, he W/T/L both directions, picks up correct lead, backs up and I’m teaching him to side pass, rides bareback also. On trails he’ll cross anything and never has been spooky with us.
His one issue he developed since he had time off was he became a little barn sour, nothing dangerous just wants to trot back.
