Chicken is a sweet boy with a fun goofy personality.
We call him chicken because….well he can sometimes be a chicken. But he wouldn’t hurt a fly. He will stop in place and look at whatever is making him concerned, with a confident handler to talk him through it, he will walk right beside you, but warn you with snorts that he is uncomfortable.
He was retired from racing after his left front ankle became puffy after a fast workout. It has not been a problem since coming to FLTAP. He is currently barefoot and moving sound. He does show signs of shivers/strong halt when picking up his hind legs but is not bothered by it any other time.
Chicken would like a low level riding career with someone willing to take their time to show him new things.
