Call Daddy (Papi as we call him) has quite the story. Papi was transfered to Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare along with his stable mate, What’s Poppin, from St. Thomas. They both ended up in the US Virgin Islands to race from the US Mainland, but because of the track being blown away in Hurricane Maria, racing never got started. Papi was at a local rescue on the island of St. Thomas. With changes in administration, he suffered starvation and injuries through out his time there. In 2023, CTA teamed up with a new group to get him and Poppin to Puerto RIco into our care. Papi is quite the handful on the ground, and doesnt have the best manners. He gets very impatient when not with Poppin. He is super docile to ride and we hope to find a home whre they can stay together.
