Introducing Willow, an approximately 16-year-old Grade Morgan type mare rescued at auction. Now enjoying a more relaxed life on the farm, Willow is adjusting to a world without making babies, and pounding her hooves on pavement.
What she lacks in height, she makes up robustly around. Standing at 14’2 HH, She can be shy, and a touch opinionated, yet is gentle and calm, making her a great companion option for any farm. Gets along with all equine species of all ages, mares and geldings., and has been an excellent addition to our early weaned foal on the farm. She falls in the middle to higher end of pecking order, not mean but won’t put up with any bullies either. Easy to handle, great for the farrier and vet. When I said robustly round, it goes without saying, she is a really well rounded metabolizer of nutrients. She eats well, and it shows. Willow has some large knobby knees. and does have minor maintenance needs for joint support, managed well with Equioxx daily. Due to this we do not feel she is riding capable. She is UTD on all vaccines, coggins, and farrier.
If you’re seeking a babysitter type, companion mare with personality and a gentle heart, Willow could be the perfect match. PM us here at the page and let us know if you would like to meet Willow, or to discuss our adoption process.
An adoption fee and contract apply to ensure her well-being.
