Sherman is a sweet and stoic, gentle QH gelding, standing at 15.3 hh, weighing 1000 lb. He is white (though often muddy LOL), beautiful, kindhearted, and loves to be groomed, bathed, and given attention and TLC. He will do about anything for a bite of carrots and he adores little girls. Sherman is pasture sound with the use of wedge shoes with pads and 1 Equioxx pill a day. He is not a rideable horse, but he is very calm and easy to handle in a small pasture. Sherman can be dominant towards other horses at feeding time and loves having room to move about freely, so he is best housed in a large pen or a pasture separated from other horses but within close distance for socializing. He’s really a sweet and loving horse. We have had Sherman for 7 years and he has served as an equine psychotherapy horse with a former foster caregiver for several months. Sherman is current on all vaccines, dewormer, farrier care, dental float, and sheath cleaning. He is a very easy keeper on alfalfa hay, a little bit of alfalfa-bermuda pellets, and 1 Equioxx pill a day. Sherman is a happy go lucky guy and is looking for a loving home. Currently boarded in Thousand Oaks, CA. We would consider a forever foster for Sherman or an adopter for the right family.
