Howdy; my name is Ben! I am a 2000, 16hh, red dun chipped, QH gelding. I am lonely as my mare was euthanized a couple of weeks ago. I still look for her as I roam around the property. It’s not easy to lose a friend you spent every day with for years. I was ridden regularly until the last year. My owner had to give up riding, first due to hip pain and now, after a hip replacement, he is not comfortable with the idea of riding me again.

I am laid back, love humans and enjoy meeting new two legged friends.

My feet are great, I am sound, healthy, an easy keeper and my manners are impeccable. Though I am trained Western, I would love to try a lighter weight English saddle, just for comfort, so I can remain as healthy and sound as I am now. I am easy to catch and love to be brushed, don’t you? My farrier loves my calm easy going manner and I respect his need to lift my feet. I’m healthy as a….as a….well, you know, a horse! Maybe I shouldn’t say that to know me is to love me, but that is what Denise said when she came to visit! I am well loved, yet lonely, in Kandiyohi, MN.
