Everyone who meets 20-year-old Thea is charmed by the enormous amount of love she radiates. Her gentle soul penetrates through us. This beautiful Belgian Draft mare was rescued from a Texas kill pen, destined for slaughter in 2025. After years of service on a farm, she is finally able to relax and enjoy life! Thea enjoys her human and horse friends and is very easy to handle. Thea will need the perfect family who can manage, and realistically afford, her special diet of soaked pellets, but they will also be rewarded with the greatest gift in life- Thea’s love! We know her forever family is out there, and until she finds the perfect match, she will continue to be so adored by all our amazing staff, volunteers, and visitors at the rescue. Thea is up to date on her medical, dental, and farrier care.
