Faye is a 10yo (2016) gray mare who came to Dove Creek in September 2023 after being seized by Potter County. She had been severely malnourished and was grieving the recent loss of her foal. Thankfully, she arrived at the Rescue in good physical health, and we’ve spent the months since helping her heal emotionally. Faye has a gentle nature and responds well to groundwork, but it’s clear she experienced trauma, especially around her head and ears. While she shows signs of prior training, she remains anxious under saddle and is currently listed as a companion horse.
She thrives in liberty work and builds deep bonds once trust is earned. Faye is sensitive, soulful, and happiest when she can connect without pressure. She’s looking for a home that values patience, kindness, and heart.
