Enero

Saddlebred

Gelding

15hh

Enero is in training for 110+ days with Laura Funderburg at Funderburg Farm and will be available for adoption to approved applicants at the ATFO event in August 2025. Starting bid 1500. Follow his progress at #hopteamenero
From his trainer 7/2025:
Enero 5 year old Registered Saddlebred gelding 15 hands The most fun loving guy around, full of curious and playful personality. While green, he is kind and forgiving of his riders and will work for you all day. A great trail and dressage prospect as he matures and continues to find his balance and healthy movement with a rider. Not typically a spooky or reactive ride, and very thoughtful. Enero is a little more whoa than go and is always ready to stop and rest and reflect on his efforts under saddle. Because of this, I am putting him as Advanced Beginner with a trainer but an Intermediate rider will probably do better to get the best out of him and continue his training.

Horses are typically located in the Appalachian area, but please inquire about a horse’s specific location when you apply!

We are looking to adopt to safe homes.

A history of good horsemanship, the ability to provide sufficient care with good vet, farrier and peer references are important. If you are a first-time horse owner, we will require you to board at a facility for the first year while you learn more about care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of riding lessons.

Foal adoptions require previous, established experience with youngsters.

Our adoption process makes sure you get the right horse for you – it is a no-fail process for finding the right match.
