Channing is a 10 year old hinny. (The offspring of a male horse and a female donkey.) Channing loves people and he can be very enthusiastic. He will follow the volunteers around his paddock and ask for pats. Sometimes he doesn’t know his own size, and may be a bit too strong for young children to handle. He is working on it though, and is in training learning to respect space and work on his ground manners. He is doing excellent! He responds great to Clicker training (R+) as do most donkeys, hinnies and mules. Channing has lots of playful energy and would be the perfect companion for an equine that loves to play too! Channing would also benefit from working at liberty and continuing ground work. Channing does not like dogs and is nervous around some men. He is a smart, loving hinny who loves attention and treats. Preferably we would like to see him go to a home that has experience with either donkeys, mules or hinnies.
