Appaloosa Gelding | 16.2 Hands | Safe, Sane, and Sound
Looking for a confidence-builder who can do everything? Meet Trigger, our wonderful Appaloosa gelding who has been a cornerstone of our beginner trail program. We’ve decided to scale back the business to spend more family time (our son’s getting older and the weekends are calling for freedom!), so it’s time to find Trigger his next person.
We’ve had him since July 2024, and in that time, he’s done it all — from packing beginners on trails and kids at camp, to leading, following, and ponying others. He rides English or Western.
✅ Goes out alone or in a group
✅ Crosses water, bridges, and anything you point him at
✅ Three easy, forward gaits: walk, trot, canter
✅ Barefoot and sound
✅ Loads, ties, and stands like a gentleman for vet, farrier, dentist, and bodywork
✅ Kind and forgiving—great with kids
✅ Not spooky, wonderfully level-headed
✅ Lower in the pecking order, gets along with everyone
Trigger is truly the kind everyone looks for but rarely finds—steady, kind, and versatile. He’d excel in trail riding, lessons, therapy, or just being someone’s all-around best friend.
He’s the type you can let sit for a week, hop on, and go enjoy your ride. If you want a horse that makes you feel safe and smile every time you swing a leg over—this is him.
