Hi there! My name is Noma, and I have a little story to tell you. I wasn’t always sure where I belonged, but I’ve learned a lot about love and loyalty. You see, I was rescued from a place that wasn’t very kind to horses, but that’s not where my journey ends. I was taken in by a very special family—a family who saw me not as just a horse but as a partner, a friend.

There was a boy in that family, and he needed me just as much as I needed him. He was going through a tough time, battling cancer, and we became each other’s strength. He named me Noma after the challenge he was facing (Melanoma), and together, we faced our battles head-on. He didn’t give up on me, and I didn’t give up on him. His mom, a horse trainer, helped restart me, and soon, we were riding together. We took lessons, practiced hard, and formed a bond that no one could break.

For two years, we were inseparable. Nothing stopped us—not cancer, not the world shutting down during COVID. But life moves on, and now that he’s healthy and enjoying life with new adventures—like sports and dating—I find myself without that one special person. I miss those days when we were together, and I’d give anything to have that connection again.

I’m ready for my next partner. I’ve got some fancy buttons, I love to be close to my humans (I’m the kind of horse who will follow you everywhere, and put my head on your shoulder if you let me!), and I’m rideable. But more than that, I’m loyal. I’m looking for someone who wants to give me love, attention, and a forever home where I can be your best friend.

I’m ready to be there for you, just like I was for him. Could you be my someone? Let’s make new memories and see where our journey can take us!

I’m up to date on my vaccines, eat about 22 lbs of hay a day, and eat 2 scoops of senior feed, but only because my best friend went out to pasture this summer and I got stressed. I doubt I will need it through winter because I come with a free brand-new Weatherbeeta blanket. I also come with a free tune-up in the spring, though if you take just a few minutes to reassure me, I don’t need it. I’m the easiest horse at the rescue to load in the trailer, and though I help the other horses not be so afraid, the volunteers think I would be happiest with a person of my very own. I don’t do well alone, so I hope there’s another horse at my new home to spend time with.
