Kid Holiday is a 15.2hh, 2016 bay gelding, available for adoption through Friends of Ferdinand Inc. Kid was purchased as a racing prospect, but ultimately the family decided not to race him. In the fall of last year, he came to us as an unbroken 3-year-old colt. In the last few months, he’s been gelded & started under saddle. He can be a little on the lazy side, but he’s a good mover. Kid is a blank slate and with no physical limitations, he’s ready to go any direction his adopter would like; hunters, eventing, dressage, western, you name it.

Kid’s ideal adopter is someone who has experience bringing along a young and green horse. With only a few months of saddle time under his belt, he needs time to learn, do all the things, and see the world. The potential is there, he just needs someone to unlock it.

Kid is available for adoption through Friends of Ferdinand, Inc., a Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accredited facility specializing in transitioning ex-racehorses into second careers. All horses in our program are fully vetted, receive professional retraining, and come with test rides & 30 day trial periods. Visit our website for photos, videos, & more info about Kid & to fill out an adoption application for him!

He is currently in retraining at a facility near Dayton, OH.
