Description

Kid was purchased as a racing prospect, but ultimately the family decided not to race him. He’s a good mover, and has no physical limitations so he’s ready to go any direction his adopter would like; hunters, eventing, dressage, western, you name it.

Kid has a couple of shows under his belt now, including some off of the farm. He has already brought home a blue ribbon & a reserve champion. He's a nice little gelding ready to have a fun spring with you! He is started over fences and is enjoying learning about jumping. The sky is the limit with this guy!

Kid’s ideal adopter is someone who has experience bringing along a young and green horse. With only a few months of saddle time under his belt, he needs time to learn, do all the things, and see the world. The potential is there, he just needs someone to unlock it. He will get along best with a firm human who will let him know who is the boss.

Kid is available for adoption through Friends of Ferdinand Inc, a Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance accredited organization that specializes in re-training off track Thoroughbreds. All the horses in our retraining program come fully vetted, with test rides for qualified adopters, and with 30-day trial periods.
