Description

Dallas is a 19 year, 15.2 Hand, Dapple Grey Appendix Quarter Horse mare. She would be a good beginner horse for a child or adult who needs to build confidence. Walk/Trot with a little bit of canter when asked consistently and assertively. Dallas can be ridden bareback or with a saddle. She does not like a bit in her mouth and is not found of a mechanical hackamore. I would suggest a bitless bridle, a bosal, or a sidepull for best results. She has also been ridden using just a halter and is very responsive. Dallas is easy to catch, leads, loads, ties, bathes, and stands for the farrier. Dallas has a knot on her left front knee just below the joint which does not cause lameness as you can see by her video. It does keep her from bending her knee to tuck it so, as a result, when Dallas lays down in an upright position, she keeps that leg straight out in front of her. It does not affect her gaits, her ability to get up or down, her ability to roll, or her ability to enjoy playing. A recent xray shows some arthritis that is not affecting the joint. Dallas is UTD on vaccines, de-worming, farrier work, Coggins, and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $1000 and requires a contract.
