Description

McFly is a laid-back guy who loves to be in your pocket. He loves humans, goats and the presence of other horses. He does have some herd anxiety and does not like to be left alone but he will go out on his own without issue. He sits in the middle of the herd hierarchy. He is absolutely fantastic at being led around with little kids on his back and very safe on the trails. He rarely spooks at anything. He knows a barrel pattern and has a lot of forward motion on the trails, he likes to be up front. McFly does like to go and is best for an intermediate rider, though he is more than happy to give littles rides when asked to. If you get him geared up to run though, he will be ready to take off. As much as he likes to go, he always stops on a dime when asked, whether in a snaffle or a halter. He knows all 7 Parelli games and will complete your natural horsemanship check-off list with ease. He is absolutely fantastic and well-behaved on the ground.

McFly does have very high withers and requires a special pad and saddle with extra high wither clearance to keep pressure off of his back. He is currently sound and barefoot. He does require an injection into his fetlock every 6-9 months if he is being ridden on very hard ground or competitively on barrels to stay comfortable.

Overall, he is a big puppy dog lover who would be very happy in a home with some little kids to follow around, nibble on treats from and give lead line lessons and rides to. He would be even happier if there was another, more advanced rider who would be willing to take him on the trails and let him run a bit.
