Description
Takala is an in-your-pocket pony. She greets you at the fence with a friendly nicker every morning.
VEWS rescued Takala from a kill pen in December 2021 and spent some time nursing her back to
health. Takala then spent 8 weeks with a trainer to work on her under-saddle skills. Takala has a good
foundation of training and is best suited for an intermediate rider willing to put the hours in saddle
needed to finish her. She stands for mounting, rides with a hackamore or bitless bridle and will w/t/c.
She is sweet but can be stubborn. With additional training, she has the potential to be a great trail
horse for a lightweight rider.

General Demeanor: Quiet, agreeable, may show mild anxiety in new situations, may show low-mid
