“Twist” is a 2 year old Hackney mix Pony Gelding. He came to us in October of 2023 from the kill-buyer’s truck. He was privately bailed and was supposed to go to a home. The owner had to give him up and our rescue stepped in for him. “Twist” has a deformed neck that permanently curves to the left. It is unknown at this time if he was born like this or injury, but he doesn’t know he is different! He runs and plays with the other horses!
“Twist” has no limitations with eating or drinking at all. He is great with the farrier and veterinarian. We have not had any issues with “Twist” at all in our care. We do NOT recommend him for riding or driving at all. Due to the deformity of the neck, “Twist” would have a lot of trouble pulling and carrying weight because of his off balance anatomy.
“Twist” is perfect for the home with people that want to play with a pony on a lead or someone that needs a spunky pasture mate.
“Twist” has an adoption fee of $500. He will have current vaccinations, hooves trimmed, microchipped, dewormed, and teeth floated.
