About: A 10 year old Bay Thoroughbred gelding. Drake (16.1hh) has a willing-to-please and forgiving nature, is inquisitive, friendly and ideal for an advanced-beginner or intermediate rider. He has excelled in the hunter arena (2’3-6″), various flat classes and is consistently a (the) top showmanship winner in the state of Kentucky making him an outstanding competitor and reliable partner. He has trail riding, eventing and dressage experiences to add to his resume.
Health: Drake is sound and up-to-date on vaccinations, dental, and farrier care. He does crib, but this is managed effectively with a cribbing collar and consistent turn out. Special note: Partially blind in his left eye but fully adapted and confident. This has not affected his performance in the show ring or as a companion horse.
Reason for offering: Previous partner of 5 years is heading to college. Drake is looking for a home where he can continue to shine and do what he loves most – working and performing with a dedicated partner.
