Prince is a tall, distinguished 13yo (2012) off-the-track Thoroughbred who joined Dove Creek in September 2023 as an owner surrender. After bouncing between multiple owners following his racing career, Prince has finally found stability and care with us. Since arriving, Prince has flourished, and we’ve successfully improved his weight and refined his farrier manners. Though he has a minor respiratory condition (affecting his “flapper”), it doesn’t seem to trouble him. Recent veterinary care has addressed his medical needs, allowing him to thrive.
Prince has revealed his true nature during his time with us; he blossomed as a companion horse rather than under saddle. His perfect match will be a confident owner looking to forge a special bond with this stunning black beauty! Prince responds best to leadership that is firm, yet kind. While he may test boundaries initially, once he recognizes you as a trusted leader, he transforms into the most loyal companion, following you anywhere and staying close by your side.
