Her sire Gay Bar Drummer is one of the highest point earning open performance point earners of all time. Multiple winner of the Oscar Creigler cattle award at the world show and many ROM’s and points in quite a few events.
Gully has had training in cutting, reining, trail, western pleasure, and extensive trail miles. Never shown and used lightly. Never been lame or injured though has old scars on hind legs from before I bought her as a weanling. This is my dream horse. I bought her from her breeder as a baby and she’s only been ridden by me. She is kind and takes care of her rider. Stand on a mounting block or stump and she will bring you the saddle to get on safely. She is not a kids or beginners horse currently as she has a big motor and can be sensitive. Though to be fair she is not ridden often and with regular riding may be a great kids horse down the road. Only for sale as I have chronic health issues and don’t hardly ride anymore. She excels at cow work and loves doing obstacles. Sensitive and light to ride.
Gully is safe. No bad habits and tries her hardest to please her rider, Loves being groomed on and acts a bit like a lapdog looking for belly scratches. She is not pushy though. Jumps in the trailer to go out trail riding, easy to trim with great sound feet that rarely need shoes. Extensive ground work and rides out alone or in a group on trails. Not afraid of cars, bikes or bears. Easy keeper, no maintenance.
Gully is registered Grulla but is a unique shade that I believe is a brown grulla. She’s definatly not a bay dun or a black dun shade, lots of barring and all the dun factor. I’m not sure if colour testing can test for brown yet, when I tested you couldn’t yet. Great broodmare. Easy to catch and easy to foal. She has had 2 foals, a black tobiano gelding that is trained and shown by a youth in cutting and a dun tobiano filly that is just being started. Homozygous for tobiano as well as homozygous black.
