Why is this foal without its mom read below ๐๐
“A nurse mare foal is a foal who was born so that its mother produces milk. The lactating mare is then used as surrogate mother for foals from other mares. In order to have milk, the nurse mare has to give birth to her own foal, and this is when her foal becomes orphan. This is when we step in and pick the foals up and bring them back to our farm in Ohio. In the United States there is a high demand for this type of nurse mare business due to the vast number of equine facilities.”
๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅCheck out this paint filly! She could be your next show horse. Just look at all those unique markings. This little lady is already drinking milk out of the bucket. We have introduced her to Mare’s match, a milk base pellet that is easy to digest. We also mix Omolene 300 in with it.
While they are here with us, they will learn to stand tied and pick up all 4 feet and let you clean them out. We also work on grooming. We introduced them to fence lines and other livestock cows, goats, adult horses, cats, and dogs. We typically keep them until they are ten days old and have hit every milestone we have set in place for them. If you would like to adopt this foal, please reach out to us on here or, call us 740-260-0547.
