I am Hope for all because that is my name! I am a 14.3 hh sorrel Arabian mare. My owner whisked me away from a Texas kill pen, thus I had new reason to Hope. My vet’s best guess is that I was foaled in 2003. I have enjoyed Minnesota for about 18 months, now. I am not sure I like the winter weather, so I lived in a blanket last winter (cozy!). For reasons beyond her control, my owner can no longer keep me. She has been incredibly good to me with regular vet and farrier visits. I have heard that I am not an easy keeper, although my weight is up now so my owner is considering reducing my grain if I can prove that I can keep my weight at a healthy level. I am recovering from horizontal cracks, where the coronary band meets the hoof, in my front hooves. I was successfully treated with honey (not Silver Honey, bee honey) and wraps. I am doing well and expect a full recovery. I have been told I am unrideable. Since I am blind in my left eye, please approach me and lead me from my right side. I have not exactly had the most wonderful life and, as with all horses, we would need to build trust. I am loving and sweet and love to be groomed; it’s not easy being beautiful, but I do my best. At one point, I had to have been trained (and clearly loved) as my owner and the lovely lady that boards me compliment me on my good behavior and good nature. I currently live in Milaca, MN. Everyone needs a life filled with Hope and I can fulfill that if you will share your life, love and home with me. George Weinberg has the best quote about me, “Hope never abandons you; you abandon Hope.”
