Gypsy Brothers is a 2022 Bay 16.1 hh Gelding who has had no published workouts and has never been raced, although he has had “track training”. Lil Bro, as we call him, presents like an age-appropriate 3 year old with a very nice quiet disposition. He has a very good personality and is easy to work with. He would be a nice fit for someone wanting an all-around, pleasure horse or low impact career.
All reasonable offers considered for approved adopters.
On the ground Gypsy Brothers is very sweet and friendly with people. He is easy to catch from the pasture and lead. Lil Bro displays and age-appropriate amount of curiosity and reactivity. He is great with the vet and farrier and stands in cross ties to be groomed and saddled. Fly spray is a new experience, and he is currently in training to become more accustomed to it.
In the pasture/stable Gypsy Brothers is currently on 24/7 turnout in a large paddock with five other geldings. He is respectful and quiet with them and is at the bottom of the herd. Gypsy is content in a stall before and after training where he has shown no vices.
Under saddle Gypsy Brothers is early in his training. He walks, trots, and canters when asked on the lunge line and is quick to settle down and stand. He has a naturally low head and neck carriage with a slow-moving gait. He is just starting under saddle at the walk and is doing well.
Background and care Gypsy Brothers is currently barefoot and has seemingly good feet on the sandy soil where he lives. He does well with free choice grass/alfalfa hay and 6-8 lbs. of Tribute Senior Sport grain and does not require any supplements. Lil Bro retired with popped splints. He completed rehab and has a good prognosis for future athletic performance
