Former Bunny – 2017 Chestnut Mare – Cute and Sweet!

FORMER BUNNY – “Bunny” is about as sweet and cute as they come! This returning CANTER Graduate is looking for a low-level lifestyle for that special someone who wants to do casual trail or pleasure riding.
  • On the ground – Bunny does best with a gentle hand. She is respectful and sweet on the lead, crossties and is calm in all situations; for the vet, farrier, bathing, grooming and tacking.
  • In the pasture/stable – Bunny is in the middle of the pecking order and gets along well with her pasture mates. She’s turned out during the day and stalled at night. She’s happy to spend her days eating!
  • Under saddle – Bunny has been doing well being ridden two or three times a week in the arena/around the farm, mostly at the walk and trot with some loping. She’s been going Western, but we think she’d also transition to English light pleasure work.
  • Background and physical capability – Bunny has mild arthritis in her right hock and is best suited for a low impact career. She also has a cyst in her left front navicular bone. While she has been doing well with light riding, she may require corrective shoeing and maintenance to pursue a more rigorous career.
  • Care – Bunny is currently going barefoot and has not required any special maintenance at this point.
