If you’re looking for a head-turner, look no further. Ember is a stunning grey mare ( blue roan as a foal) that has people complimenting her everywhere we go. I’ve had my fair share of beautiful greys, but Ember is truly something special! Grandaughter of Shining Spark – find her pedigree on Allbreedpedigree. com

Experience & Training:
Last year, Ember spent 60 days in Oklahoma, where she was started under saddle.

Trail Riding & Shows:
Ember’s been out on trails and is already crossing creeks, climbing hills, and handling everything you’d want for a great trail horse. We have been using her to pony a weanling we have in for training out on the trails and she handles that great as well. We’ve started hauling her to fun shows to get her used to all the hustle and bustle. She’s cautious when she enters the arena alone, but with more exposure, she’s going to settle in just fine. We’ve also been swinging ropes and tracking the roping dummy off her. I see serious potential for her as a breakaway roping horse—she’s got speed when you ask for it and a solid “whoa” to match.

Versatility in the Arena:
This mare is so versatile. We’ve been focusing on riding between the reins, speed control, working over her topline, leg yields and those all-important correct balanced stops. Ember has an excellent whoa, and with her movement, I think she’d excel in ranch pleasure, ranch trail, ranchmanship, ranch boxing, western dressage, but has the speed to be a barrel prospect &/or a breakaway competitor. The possibilities are endless with a great foundation like she’s getting on her.

✔Rider compatibility
Ember would thrive with a rider who is confident, kind, patient, and experienced in riding a horse between the reins. She’s still young and has a lot of potential, so we want to see her go to someone who knows how to bring out the best in her. Rewards her when she does good vs punish her if she makes a mistake. Ember will do well with a person who understands that progress is more important than perfection and who is willing to take their time to continue her training and exposure. I say this because this mare’s value can only go up in the right hands and she has the talent. Finding one that is as quality of a mare as she is, is not something I run across very often and want to find a home that she deserves.   All though she has riders of all ages on her and gets along great with them.

Why Ember?
Ember is one of those horses that makes you look forward to saddling up every day. She’s got the looks, the brains, and the ability to go far in whatever direction you choose to take her. Whether it’s on the trails, in the arena, or out working cattle, Ember is ready to shine.

She is sound, great with other horses, loads, trailers, and unloads well. Easy to catch, halter, and handle. Only vice I can find so far is she isnt a fan of being in a stall. Since she has been here for 60 + days she has gotten much better but she is much happier in a stall with a run or out on a dry lot with shelter & friends.
