This flashy lady has style and lovely movement and will do best with an experienced rider who is ready to bring out the best in her.
On the ground – Abogada is easy to lead, and is handled morning and evening during paddock turn out. She stands well for the farrier.
In the pasture/stable – Abogada loves her turn out and is currently out daily with her best buddy Ladybuggin (a former CANTER horse) from 8:00 in the morning to 6:00 at night. She is stalled overnight, has no stall vices and keeps her stall tidy.
Background and Suitability – Abogada transferred to CANTER Michigan from Caribbean Thoroughbred Aftercare after completing rehab for a gate injury to her right front leg from which she recovered beautifully. With her long racing career, Abogada has some mild bilateral arthritic changes in her fetlocks and will do best in a low to mid-level career but could go further with the proper maintenance. She has had some under saddle training but after some recent down time is ready for her new home and excited to get into a regular working schedule with an adopter who will bring her slowly back into work.
Care – Abogada is currently transitioning to barefoot and doing well so far. She stands patiently in crossties and loves to be groomed. She is an easy keeper and up to date on all vaccines, deworming, Coggins and dental.
