Hercules is just an all around riding/trail horse. He goes wherever you point him. Ride in an arena or on the trails. Stands quietly for saddling and mounting. Currently be used as a lesson horse and has a 14 yr old beginner riding him. You can let him sit in the pasture for months then pull him up and hop right on without a fuss. Gets along well with mates and geldings. Very respectful of fences and it doesn’t take much to keep him in. Herc is missing his right eye due to an injury he sustained 5 months ago but it does not affect him at all. You can approach him on his blind side and he doesn’t startle or spook.
Herc has 2 vices. He likes to be asked to load on a trailer a specific way. You point with your left hand and twirl the rope with your right and he’ll load right up. If you try to walk him in he will just walk backwards.
His other vice is fly spray. If you start on his blind side he’s fine with it by the time you get to his left side. I generally use pour on fly repellent (ultra boss).
