Beer Tap, "Eros", is a 2006 TB gelding, 16.1 hands and big bodied. Moves and looks like a warmblood!
He has attended dance classes through 3rd level and even babysits the kids in intro.
Had a prior career as a hunter, but wasn't a fan, so not recommended for an over fences home. Could flat in the hunter ring all day long.
Easy easy changes, nice lateral work, rides in a snaffle and has played with the double.
Spur and stick ride. Seriously. Bring your big spurs out... Working hard is hard work so he thrives on rider motivation.
Safe, sane, and sound. Can pack around your kid that barely knows how to trot and then go in the show ring with you. Same horse at a show as he is at home. Pretty much bombproof, and I don't think horses could actually be bombproof. Doesn't care about drop in temps, heavy wind, loud cars or machinery, flapping bags, dogs chasing him while he is trying to work, tarps, etc. Same horse whether he is ridden every day or once a month. No prep needed.
Never been lame!
The only tb thing about him is that he has tb feet- thin soles and long toes. We keep him shod all around every 5 weeks and in pads and have zero issues.
No maintenance unless you count HALO and Equinity supplements.
Can live in or out. All geldings or mixed herd.
Loads, clips, bathes, etc. He does NOT have the best ground manners. Pawing in crossties is his favorite thing, as is grumpy face. Anyone can lead and handle him though. Not a huge fan of having his hind legs clipped so I do it in stages.
He is a super horse that I really don't want to part with, but life happens...
