Description

Hi everyone. Like to introduce Tucker. He's a big stocky gelding who measures right at 16.1h. He's 8 years old and is a grade QH. He's got a solid build and is nicely put together. I can't say enough good words about this guy. On the ground and in the saddle he is always a pleasure. He is personable, friendly, enjoys being groomed & doted on, and hanging out with his people. He also respects your space and has perfect stable manners. He carries himself so nicely in the arena. It doesn't take much effort to collect him, or you can give him the reins and let him go long and low. He's got a fantastic work ethic, is easy to the aids, and his willingness to respond to rider cues makes riding fun. His lope/canter is soft and adjustable. You can shorten or lengthen his stride to fit your style. He is a solid citizen out on the trail, and remains calm where other horses loose it. He trail rides in groups and alone equally well. He might be alert at something totally out of the ordinary, but a look is all he'll do, and he does not spook. All of these qualities have allowed Tucker to excel at a multitude of disciplines. Tucker neck reins, direct reins, rides both western and english, and lopes nice circles. When really conditioned he's got his lead changes down too. Tucker has experience in trail obstacles, trail riding, multi-day horse camping, western dressage, english dressage, jumping, gymkhana, etc. Ride him on a trail ride one weekend, and take him to a schooling show or playday the next weekend. He's game for everything and will not let you down. Tucker has a phenomenal personality. He is safe and great minded, and he ties, hauls, bathes, has zero vices, and is sound. You can stall him or he can live out with other horses (though he may get picked on some since he's low in the pecking order). Tucker just came back to regular work after being set aside due to welcoming twins into his human family. Even with only occasional fun rides bareback in a halter over the past several months, Tucker is back to riding every day like he didn't miss a beat. He's just now finishing 30 days of conditioning, which includes arena riding (both western and english, plus trail riding). Being a new parent and working full-time have resulted in little time for anything else (but maybe sleep!). This is the only reason Tucker is for sale. Reasonable offers may be considered if you are the perfect owner. Please include info about your home and the life he would have with you when inquiring about Tucker. His happiness is the most important thing. Come meet and ride him, and you can get him vetted if you want to also. All these pictures are current and he even looks more stunning in person.
