When God made this horse, he got the mixture just right: He’s light on his feet, agile, mentally sharp, quick and mature enough to know when to turn up the heat and when to go with the flow! KIDS LOVE HIM, Mom's adore him, Grandma's approve of him... and I'll just be blunt here - this is AS NICE OF A HORSE AS I HAVE EVER RIDDEN. I am the first to pick a horse apart and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that I can't fault this horse anywhere. If you like a classic built, sturdy made, true blue ranch horse that’s handy enough to go do a days work outside doctoring cattle but still gentle enough to take right through the middle of downtown or pack your kids around bareback when you get home – you’ve found your match!

“George” is a 2015 AQHA gelding who is quite frankly, the WHOLE package. He is absolutely everything that you hope and dream of having and being able to do on a horse, all wrapped up in a handsome copper coat. Quality exudes from "George" in every aspect. You couldn’t ask for a finer horse with a better background story than his if you tried – “George” is actually owned by one of my vets and is a ranch raised, home grown gelding that is a product of years & years of their hard work + deliberate bloodline selection. Everything was done the RIGHT way the FIRST time on this guy, he's been in the best of hands his entire life whether it’s in regard to his care, training, or exposure. Anyone that has been around this horse for any amount of time has nothing but good to say about him. He NEVER refuses to do ANYTHING you ask of him and we have 1000% put him to the test! Everything from riding bridleless & bare back, to carrying the parachute, even going over jumps - he never quits you and that sort of mentality is SO hard to find. Ol' George would walk through fire if you asked him.

“George” is razor sharp in the arena - he knows his maneuvers and gets 10/10 across the board from us in all aspects! Ride on a loose rein with his head level at the walk, trot & canter. Melts into his stops, has an easy back up, spins around both ways and transitions between all gaits without a hiccup. & if you want to turn up the heat? He’s ready when you are (and only when you are). “George” has been heeled on in the arena as well, he is quiet in the box and scores good. He’s great for someone wanting to get back into it, freshen up, or get with a higher caliber horse – he'll track the sled all day long without getting frustrated by his riders mistakes or in a hurry to get it over with. But at the drop of a hat, he’s ready to go enter when you are!

And talk about a proficient ranch horse that has endless amounts of REAL, working miles/hours helping to gather, sort, & doctor cattle outside!!! He is unwaveringly rock solid & knows his job like the back of his hoof. Great to use in the feed yard; will side pass right up to any gate, has shipped cattle at all hours of the day/night & sure footed even in the slickest/boggiest of conditions. This is a top-notch mount when it comes to ranch chores, making him an incredible asset to any operation… but the best part about this horse is the fact that his willingness, desire to please, and articulate mentality can be seen in every bit that he does. “George” had only been to town a handful of times throughout his life before he was sent to us for evaluation. The footage you see in his video is his FIRST time to downtown Fort Worth; we thought it would be fun to throw him to the wolves and see how he handled all of the chaos that comes with the city and “George” did NOT disappoint in the slightest. (while you’re watching, I’d also like you to keep in mind that it was 30 degrees outside and SLEETING when we decided to do this) If a horse ever had an opportunity to have a ‘free pass’ from us, it would’ve been that frigid Tuesday morning but to my dismay, “George” wasn’t even remotely interested in using that excuse. He showed up and showed out - ready to impress while being present for anything we asked of him. If that doesn’t sum up this special guy in a nutshell, I don’t know what will. A horse that’ll unconditionally show up for any job, delightedly eager to take on the task at hand with all the poise in the world.

The knowledge and background “George” has directly contributes to how behaved and well mannered he is on his back and on the ground. He minds his own business, peacefully standing tied until you decide you are ready to do something. Even then, he stands as still as can be while you groom, saddle, mount/dismount, bathe, or have the farrier under him. He is a gentleman no matter who is around, you don’t have to be present for him to act the way he’s supposed to! Gets along with all sorts of other horses/ponies/dogs, loads and hauls great, backs out of a trailer, unloads quietly in unfamiliar places. “George” stands 14.3 hands and has TONS of substance, he’s big enough to carry anyone of any size but still ideal for those who want a sturdy horse without feeling intimidated. I know this is just my personal preference so take this for whatever it’s worth but… this is exactly what I want a horse to be built like. He has straight legs – free of any lumps or bumps, nice sizeable hooves, excellent conformation, and a kind eye. Like I said earlier, this horse is owned by a vet and is selling COMPLETELY SOUND. “George” is healthy, sane, sound and ready to make someone very happy for years and years to come. He’s a horse that will be sure to stay in your family for a lifetime and offers a wide array of knowledge and ability for every member of your family or ranch crew. You’ll find yourself going out every morning and catching this one first without even realizing it, he’s just that flat-out enjoyable. Riding is never a chore when you have “George” in your string! The opportunities he provides are endless and I can’t wait to see him continue to excel down any path he goes.
