Description

Ruby is a coming 9 yr old AQHA mare. She is about 16 hh. Big muscled, good boned. I wouldn't say she's a fully finished heel horse as she just needs to get out a little bit. She's been to a few places to rope and she also went to the world series in October. She had no problem with the indoor arena, audio, ect. She's very level-headed horse that just takes things as they come. She doesn't really get excited about too many things. She's really calm in the box, and relaxed in the arena. We have not done any heading on this horse in the arena (for the simple fact I don't head) although she could easily go that direction. She's drug calves a few times. She's really good with water you can spray her down with the hose and she'll even drink out of it. This mare would fit really good with just about anybody but I feel like with her sweet disposition an attitude that should would be great as a lady's horse. Although with her size, athleticism and cowyness I feel like she needs to compete. Biggest reason she is for sale is we don't have time for much of that. For as good as she is she only gets rode a few times a week. When she's laid off her only habits have been chewing the bit when standing and Just pushing the pace a little ( fast walk/trot, doesn't collect at canter, a little bit open and free). She's rode in a snaffle, I think you could ride her in a hackamore without a problem. Loads good, good for farrier. Not snappy fast to leg cues but good. To be honest this mare fell into roping naturally, everything else we have worked on moderately. As for being a mare we have not see any issue with her. She always takes the bottom of the pole with other mares or geldings. 100% sound. She has a scar on her front right cannon bone that is visible. Was told it was from a accident as a 3 yr old. Causes no problems or maintenance. Vet check welcome at your cost.

Everyone that has seen this mare work comments on how good she is. Wether it's her confirmation, disposition, or how well she performs. Text, call, or email.
