Sally has been ridden on many trails here in the Ozark hills of Missouri and Arkansas. Sally is one of the most sure-footed horses I have ever ridden. She very seldom stumbles! When I rode her over to the vet clinic last week to get her exam, the vet asked me to gait her and even noticed and commented, “I’ll bet that mare doesn’t stumble much, does she?” I asked how she could tell. She said she could just tell by the way she carried herself. Sally is very confident on the trails, which makes anyone riding her feel secure, safe and confident as well!
Sally loves people! When I walk out of the house in the morning, she will be grazing in the pasture and when she sees or hears me, she starts studying me. She seems to be asking, “Do you want me to come or not?” When I do call for her, she will always come. Sometimes she will even gallop to me! Sally has a great personality and is very willing to please! She is a pure joy to be around!
Sally has been on many trail rides in large and small groups. She will lead but has no problem giving up her position to follow behind or find a place in the middle. Sally has been exposed and had no issues with barking dogs, cows, alpacas, bathing, clipping, tarps, bicycles, miniature ponies, drones, motorcycles. She has even seen a pig at my neighbor’s house and went nose to nose with Ethel! Honestly, I cannot think of anything that has ever bothered her!
Sally is well-behaved around other horses, either in the pasture or on the trail. She is not bossy with other horses and gets along well with other horses immediately. If you didn’t know better, you would think she was a gelding.
Riding out alone is something Sally and I do most often. It is just fun to saddle her up and take off down the road feeling confident, safe and she has one of the most pleasurable gaits I have ever ridden! It is a pure joy sitting back and riding Sally!
I am leaving Sally on the auction for 3 weeks to give me the opportunity to add more video(s) and give people ample time to make arrangements to come meet Sally! If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, please contact me anytime!
