Boots is a 16+hh, jet black, 4 year old, Friesian/Percheron Draft Crossbred gelding. He is a big stout built horse, with a heavy bone structure that weighs around 1350lbs. Boots was born and raised in Ohio and has been ridden and drove in a buggy. He has also pulled a sleigh in the winter time through the snow and been drove in parades. He is great under harness and is very traffic safe as you can see in his video. Under saddle Boots has been used as a trail horse, he has saw everything possible on the trails. He will cross creeks, ditchs, logs and navigate rough rocky areas. We have had him on some very steep trails that he had to scale up and slide down the other side, he is very sure footed. He is safe riding in traffic whether that be trucks or cars. Boots has a smooth jog, his lope is slow and easy as well, he will slide stop and back! He lopes circles very well and picks up both leads. Boots has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. Boots is not cinchy, cold backed, does not crib or weave. Here is one of the most sought after crosses that folks are looking for today, whether you want to ride something fancy or drive a stylsh horse, Boots will fit the bill for years to come!
