General description:

Webster is a goofy 15 year old 17.2hand Dutch warmblood. He has so much personality and you can always tell what this vocal boy is thinking. Though he occasionally needs a manner refresh, he is lighthearted and playful always nudging you on to pay attention to him. He’s not afraid to let his personality and love for you shine through. He’s kept that personality but was even sweeter and more outgoing when in consistent work. Read below to see if Webster sounds like someone you want to bring into your family!

Potential Disciplines:

Webster would excel best in disciplines not involving jumping over 3foot. Since he’s a been there done that kind of horse, with your direction He could easily be further trained for eq, dressage, low hunters or jumpers, even eventing or the average pleasure ride. With some one on one time He’s a versatile boy that will accept being trained which ever way you like, he’s even done the occasional western lesson.

What Webster needs from you:

While out of shape Webster needs a strong intermediate or advanced rider who can put this boy together and on his backend. His owner recognizes Webster needs a rider who can give him at least 3-5 rides a week or even show on the weekend. He a flashy boy who would win in any ring! When at his peak in the lesson program he’s a lighter big springy ride who even did kids walk trot lessons and found a wonderful leaser over the summer who did spectacular flat with him and up to 3 foot at home.

Ride description:

When hes in shape, he has a floaty long stride and can hit some to die for dressage moves. When his backend is engaged properly he can do multiple up and down transitions, automatic lead changes and changes upon asking, he could even be trained to follow your ask for a cross canter. (See or request video) However with his owner in school and without his daily rides Webster has fallen to the strong forehand and needs a rider who can ride him with lots of leg and consistency to build him back up. He has a ton of scope in his jump and sees his spot to the fences. Hes brave, and even braver with a brave rider, and not spooky in the ring. He’s done up to 3/3’3 feet while with his owner. Though he’s always been sound, when out of shape it makes his back end sore- he needs someone who can keep him strong!

Story and timeline:

Webster was a horse being boarded with his current owner since February 2019. Current ownership of him was taken over in June 2019 after being abandoned on the property. He is utd on vaccines, coggins, and feet though he would excel with shoes (he is currently barefoot). He was apart of his owners lesson program since he arrived in February but stopped working in September when his owner decided to go back to school. She recognizes he needs more in his career and wants him to end up in the best home with the best people who can give him the care he needs.
