Sweet, Smart, Gentle Giant

She's got the groundwork down. Just needs to be started & finished under saddle. Can mount/dismount from either side, sit and chill on her, you can tack her up with no issues, just needs direction and time put in to her. She was intended to be a trail horse, I no longer have the time or money to train her up for it.

Ren is a 13 year old rescued Clydesdale from Canada. She was a starvation case that I took on in May of 2020.

I had intended on starting her in trail riding once she was healthy. However, my life situation has changed and I no longer have the time or financial that a horse requires. I do not want to have to let her go, but its all in her best interest. I have gotten her up to a healthy weight and she has been in training on and off since I got her.

Ren has been heavily worked with on groundwork, a lot of time has been put in to that foundation. She's sound to ride, drive, and is eager to please. She's a very smart mare, and extremely docile. She can be put in with any horse and never have a problem with being bossy or being bossed around. Since I've gotten her in May of 2020, I have never seen a day of her being "mare-ish". She's very level headed and easy to work with.

Because she was a rescue and hasn't been exposed to too many things, she does have some work that needs to be done with desensitizing. I've been working on taking her for walks around the roads where she currently boards to get her used to uncontrolled environments. She ties well on a single ring and we have been working on getting her calmer in the cross ties.

This mare LOVES foals, any time there's been one within sight, she is very eager to go to it. I believe she would make a great broodmare or nanny horse if desired.

Her hooves are healthy, all the farriers that have worked on her have mentioned how solid her hooves are and none have had any concerns about needing shoes. She doesn't do a great job with the farrier but she's gotten better within the last year. She has had a few abscesses in her front hooves, both within the first 6 months I got her. None since.

Right now she's just sitting in a pasture and I know she has more potential than just a pasture pet. I would like to see her go to a home that has time to get her started under saddle and continue her training to trail riding or western pleasure. She's definitely more whoa than go.

She's up to date on vaccines, deworming, dental and hoof trims.

I am asking what I have put in to her financially, however it is negotiable to the right home. She will come with all of the equipment I have for her as she is my only horse. This includes but is not limited to: Halter, Training Halter, Fly mask x2, Blankets & sheets, Bareback pad, Saddle, Bridle, Saddle pad.

I do not have a trailer so buyer would have to arrange transport.

Serious offers only. I've put as much info about her as I can think of to find her a good home. Please, only serious inquiries.
