How do I create an account?

If you never had an account on Equine.com before, just click the “Register” button in the upper-right-hand corner. Fill out the form making sure to reach the criteria for each box. An email will then be sent to you to verify the account (this helps protect your information and your privacy). Verify your account and login to Equine.com.

If you had an account on the old version of Equine.com and would like any of your ads to transfer over, you should also click “Register” in the upper-right-hand corner. Be sure you use the same email as your old Equine.com account when you fill out the form. Once you have re-registered for Equine.com, it may take a few minutes to an hour for your old ads to populate in your account. Thank you for your patience.

How do I reset my password?

If you forget your password, click “Login” in the upper-right-hand corner. Below the login fields, there is a “Forgot Your Password?” link. Click there, and enter your email or username in the box. An email will be sent to you allowing you to reset your password

How do I change my login information?

To change any of your account settings, click the “My Profile” in the dropdown menu next to your username in the upper-right-hand corner. If you change any of your “Details” be sure to click “Update Profile” to save your new settings. You can also change the email and password associated with your account on this page.


How do I place an ad?

To begin, click “Place an Ad” in the upper-right-hand corner. Select what type of listing you would like to place: Horse, Stallion at Stud or Property. After selecting the type of listing you can select the type of ad. We offer a variety of ad types based on number of photos and videos, and where they appear in searches. Select which you would prefer.

From there, fill out the ad information and upload images and video. Videos are added via YouTube link. Once uploaded to youtube, the video page’s link can be taken directly from the browser and pasted into the box on the “Add Video” page of ad creation.

How do I edit my ad?

To make any changes to your already-created ad, go to your “My Listings” page located in the dropdown next to your username in the upper-right-hand corner. Here you can see any of the ads you have created. Click the little pencil icon in the corner of your ad’s thumbnail. You can then make any changes to the ad details or click “Next” at the bottom to edit images on the following page. You can also change your videos by clicking “Next” once again. Be sure to click “Save” in the bottom-right to make your changes go into effect. You may notice a slight delay in ad updates.


How do I use the search function on the new Equine.com?

The new Equine.com offers a couple ways to find your perfect horse! You can use the top search bar, which includes all the states, breeds and disciplines, as well as a keyword box, to get a drilled-down search.

You can also use the left-hand search facets to find horses by zip code, breed, color, price and more. Just click on one feature, then the next, to begin. Your selected search criteria will populate in a box at the top of the left-hand facets. You can remove any option from the search by clicking the “x” next to it.

How do I “save” a listing so I can find it again?

To save a listing to your “Watched Listings” page, click on the listing you would like to watch. Underneath the image carousel, you can click “Watch Listing”. You will then be able to find it in your “Watched Listings” page when you click on your username in the upper-right-hand corner. You will also then notice a little “Thumbs-Up” symbol in the listing’s thumbnail.

To un-watch a listing, you can click this “Thumbs-Up” symbol. You can also click “Unwatch Listing” below the image carousel in the ad itself.

Message Center

How do I tell a seller that I’m interested in their horse?

First, you must be logged in to an account. From there, go to the listing. There will be a text box below the ad where you can begin communications with the seller - just fill out the box and click “Send Message”. The horse’s seller will receive an email notification letting them know that you have reached out - but please have patience as they may not reply right away. You will receive an email notification when they respond.

You can view your sent message in the Message Center. To get there, click “My Messages” in the dropdown next to your username in the upper-right-hand corner. Click on the message subject or thread number to see the message.

How do I reply to a message?

Head to the message in your message center. To reply to the sender, click “Reply” to the left. Fill out your response and click “Send”. The recipient will receive an email notification.

How do I register with AHFEH?

To register as a rescue with A Home For Every Horse, you must be a 501(c)3 non-profit. Fill out the form located here HERE to get started or contact AHFEH at ahfeh@equine.com for any assistance.

How do I place free ads as a horse rescue?

Once your account has been verified as a Rescue Account, you will be able to place horse listings for free. To do so, click “Place An Ad” in the upper-right-hand corner. Select “Rescue Horse for Adoption” and begin creating your ad.

How does the Equine.com Money Back Guarantee work?

If you purchase a Guaranteed ad on Equine.com, and your horse fails to sell within the 6-months that it is listed, you are eligible to get your money back! Please see the MBG rules here.

How do I get my Money Back?

If your Guaranteed ad fails to sell your horse, simply fill out this form and mail it to our office. We will issue a refund once we double-check that everything is correct.
