We purchased Doc last summer after the second foal of his was born. His offspring are foaled and their personality starts to show immediately. Very gentle, bomb proof type horses (even though the dam is anything but bomb proof!)
Our two year old took the saddle and being mounted the first time without batting an eye or even taking a step - - without anybody holding a lead rope.
He is 15.1, well muscled and extremely friendly. His offspring are of good birthing size, and have all grown into easy keepers. (We weaned our second foal in late fall ... she continued on to grow and gain 200 pounds over the winter.)
Even though he is a stallion, I've put my grandkids on him to ride, and let a novice rider take him out for rides. He is a gem!
He is registered and has Doc Bar, Peppy, Hancock, Poco Bueno, and Leo in his lineage.
He was registered as a Blue Roan, but as his 2012 foal is a gray, AQHA just changed his color to Gray.
