JS Horsemanship is an equine organization developed to bring greater awareness of the horse to the the equine community. We do this through educational courses, clinics, and workshops. Our courses are to help people who own and love horses to become more aware of horse behavior(how horses think and are in a natural state), the physical horse(how horses move and body awareness and conditioning), and how to ride a horse as an extension of the horse. People who take our courses and attend our workshops and clinics gain a more positive perspective of their horses, clearer understanding, and a better working relationship.
We conduct our courses and clinics at any facility that has 4 or more participants within a 15 mile radius of Chagrin Falls Ohio. We are available to go further for a one time commitment if scheduled 1 month in advance. Our base facility is Sand Hill Stables in Mantua Ohio.
We here at JS Horsemanship work hard to meet the needs of our clients. Each horse and client is treated and taught as an individual. Our classes have a general structure that is shaped to meet both the needs of our client and their horse. Our courses are for people who own their own horse. They are designed for the horse and rider who want to work and play together as a team and grow in their relationship.
Our teaching principles are to train without pain and to never force the horse or rider. We are committed to the health and well being of the horse and the safety and satisfaction of the rider.
If you are interested in taking a course we recommend you start with our introductory class. This class is designed for you to meet Joan and see if she is a good fit for you and your horse. This is an opportunity to share your expectations of your horse, or your current issues with your horse with a professional who is proven and certified. If you decide to work with Joan she will work out a personalized course that will help you and your horse.
The Horsemanship courses are structured as four one hour classes scheduled once a week. You learn new information then have time to apply and practice to prepare for your next class. There is no further commitment after the fourth class is completed.
Introductory one hour Class: $35
JS Horsemanship Course: $220.00
