Miles/starters
$630 (inc.board+gst and fee) Board paid on the 1st of each month, training at the end of each month. (Minimum 20 sessions + 1 lesson, Max of 23) I personally believe that every horse benefits from at least a day off in the first start to work as they are gaining the work ethic, trust and so they can sit back and "absorb" what they have learned. Any young horse, like a student in school, needs a mental break from work. A cranky horse cannot progress, I encourage all horses to like their job. They are also building muscle that they have not used and they need rest. On a day off, they will still be handled but they will not be asked for anything. It may just consist of brushing or moving pens. Invoices/receipts are given for all. Will offer discounts for multiple horses.
Total including board and GST: $630
Rescue Horses and Refreshers- $275 per month
If a refresher comes in and the owner chooses not to ride him, I will treat him as a starter. Will go over ground basics.
Rescues require proof. These include:
EID (Equine ID) from auction
Signed auction or adoption paper
Any known issues must be disclosed
The first week with a rescue horse will be based on assessment, which from there leaves the choice to further continue or discontinue. If chosen to discontinue due to the safety risk to my life being greater than I am willing to take, remaining fee will be refunded. After assessment, I will recommend a time frame I find appropriate. I would like owners to be involved in the process of any rehabilitation or rescue horses.
Reduced rate of $150 plus board for light groundwork/handling and manners on the young ones who are not yet ready to be started.
Owners are free to visit their horse at any time and drop in on sessions, can give you riding/training schedule ahead of time.
Board is outdoor, and includes use of stall anytime if needed to dry. Days missed due to prior commitments are made up at own cost. All breeds welcome, no stallions please.
Currently working to become a certified low level coach with EC this year, shown successfully lower level dressage, jumpers and western pleasure.
Will offer showing experience for young horses this year and catch riding. No problem taking young ones to their first shows.
