Dental malocclusions (mal=bad occlusions=contact) can occur in both the incisors and cheek. teeth, either type may interfere with. proper chewing, digestion and performance. Over time uncorrected malocclusions can lead to pain and possibly a loss of teeth, and an inability to chew hay and feed. The natural chewing process of horses leads to sharp teeth throughout the mouth in all horses and ponies.
