Our Mission
Colorado Horse Rescue (CHR) is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency relief, shelter, care, rehabilitation, and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted horses. CHR provides community resources through equine education, counseling, information and referral services. CHR is funded through individual donations, grants, bequests and corporate sponsorships.
Our Goals:
~ To provide shelter, rehabilitation, care and adoption services for surrendered and legally impounded horses, entrusted to our care
~ To facilitate the surrender of horses referred by Animal Control Officers due to owner neglect or abandonment
~ To facilitate the surrender of horses by owners who are no longer able to provide adequate care for their equines
