Lifesavers Inc. is a 501(c)(3) otherwise known as Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue that was founded in 1997. Our mission is to prevent American mustangs and domestic horses from being abused, abandoned, neglected and ultimately sent to slaughter through rescue, adoption, sanctuary, education and horse inspired growth and healing programs.

SHARE is our motto:

Sanctuary – Our sanctuaries provide a permanent natural habitat for some of our unadoptable rescued horses.

Humanity – Our HIGH (Horse Inspired Growth and Healing) programs use our rescued horses to provide opportunities to increase the positive effects of healthy relationships with horses and humans. Our clients have included veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project and former gang members from Homeboy Industries as well as hundreds of Native American tribe members across the United States through our Red Horse Nation program.

Adoption – Our staff and private trainers work to prepare horses for adoption by first teaching them basic ground skills and then move on to more advanced training including saddle work.

Rescue – Every year, approximately 100,000 American horses are slaughtered for human consumption. They are transported across the border to large slaughter facilities in Mexico and Canada and their meat is exported oversees.

Education – We offer educational programs and clinics thru our Happy Horse Academy as well as Wild Horse Boot Camp and Baby Boot Camp, exciting hands on experiences in which participants learn to safely and effectively gentle, handle and train a wild horse.
