Azalia is a 2001 Oldenburg mare by Hanoverian stallion Anhaltiner out of one of the few premium Thoroughbred mares accepted in the Main Mare Book with the German Oldenburg Verband.
Injured as a three year-old, Azalia was bred for the first time to the beautiful De Laurentis and in the light of the quality of her foals, thus, has not been broke to ride and has been moved to the broodmare band. Premium foal herself, Azalia has never stopped putting one fantastic foal after the other on the ground. In fact, three foals out of four were graded Premium, the fourth one being also of Premium quality but prefering to romp and play instead of showing off on the day of her inspection. Ah, foals! Her foals are known for their good minds and gaits. Her first foal by De Laurentis should be under saddle and we hope to track him down for updates.
Azalia is a solid mare with three good, powerful gaits despite being a career broodmare and thus in no shape to impress!
Azalia is fully approved with the German Oldenburg Verband and has been entered in their Main Mare Book. Azalia was presented to the Hanoverian Verband on September 5th, 2009 and made it into their Main Studbook!
