We purchased Socks for our daughter and she is not riding him enough to keep him in shape. He is the same horse after sitting for a while but is a very easy keeper and he's getting too fat. He is too good to sit in the pasture!! He is this fat from little pasture and handful of grain 2 x a day! You will have a hard time finding a perfect size, stocky gelding with a really nice, smooth gait that allows you to enjoy the scenery. He does not spook easily and can pick up his speed, just needs to get in shape and be ridden. He is lazy but you won't have to worry about him bolting or not standing still for mounting, or taking a break on the trail. He stands 14:2hh I am 5'3 riding him barefoot (just pulled shoes off for winter). After so many kids riding him over the years, he is a little hard mouthed, you will see he also wants to go back to the barn, a little barn sour. If you watch his you tube videos of tacking/feet, mounting, gaiting, etc. you will see he is a good boy. He doesn't have a mean bone in him. He is ridden in a snaffle. Loves his bath, clips, good for the farrier. He is a lover, will come up to you in the pasture and wants to bond. He jumps in the trailer w/no problems!! To good home only!! Lots of videos on youtube, tacking, mount, tarp, etc.
