Mona is a laid back, easy going mare who has been very easy to train thus far. She is willing to learn and accepts new things well. She has a nice ground covering trot with good reach and a nice balanced canter, she is getting more balanced and stronger all of the time. Mona is very quiet both on the ground and under saddle. She is jumping under saddle upto 3'3" and has proven to be very laid back about it and not spooky at all. Mona will make a super all around horse and is quiet enough for an amateur to take and finish her. She has now been to her first couple of shows and is proving that she is even more easy going away from home, walking into both the hunter and jumper rings with a willing attitude. She has been named the CWB 4 year old Material horse jumper champion in 2009. Mona is ready to take a jr/am into the hunter or jumper rings and do very well, she does her changes, has now seen many different types of jumps and different show venues and has been a super star about it all.

Mona is by Gervantus who himself was an international jumper in Europe before being imported to Canada. He has sired numerous upper level horses including Gamour who represented Switzerland at the 2008 Olympics in Eventing. Gervantus consistently sires nice minded offspring that continue to improve with age and training and Mona is no exception.

Mona is out of a Wodan x TB who had a successful dressage career with an amateur before becoming a broodmare. Wodan is also known to throw very amateur friendly horses who jump well. Mona is out of the same dam as Miranda who also had a very good mind and jumped better the more mature and stronger she became.
